Bioscope – The Start of it all…

We first met properly after a Marillion show in Berlin on the FEAR tour back in November 2018. We got on very well and we discussed the idea of us possibly working together. I decided to fly to Berlin a few months later (in February of 2019) to try working together.  We had a couple of days of jamming together in his old studio and there was definitely an interesting chemistry between us which we both thought we should try to pursue in the future. 

Skip forward to March of 2020 and we arranged to do a day of jamming at the Racket club, Marillion’s studio, the day after Thorsten had played a solo show at a club in north London. It was fascinating to watch him working in the studio with analog technology and real keyboards. The sounds and textures he created were incredibly inspiring.

The chemistry was there from the start of the session and several ideas were born and we realised that this really could be something special, a blending of our two different approaches to create something new and very special. We also did a photos session with the incredibly talented Anne-Marie Forker (who took all the attached photos).
